Outside Annunciation Catholic Church, Words of Remembrance and a Mood of Healing
On my second day of reporting outside Annunciation Catholic School, I saw families taking back their place. Parents allowed kids to explore the bushes where the shooter had stood, and a father who had lost his son spoke with courage and resolve. It struck me as an opportunity to look not only at tragedy but also at healing and community. I found a bit of empty ground under a tree and sat down with my laptop to wrte this.
